Being an Oleh Hadash, a new immigrant, comes with its unique set of challenges. Language and culture are a barrier. Familiarity with the system and with educational options may be limited. ECI is here to introduce you to how the educational system in Israel works and guide you in finding the best choice for your child, whatever their needs may be.

THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD

There are schools in Israel suited to fit the varying needs of any child, whether it's related to a particular diagnosis or the child simply needs a more challenging environment. ECI will walk you through the process of having your child's needs identified and met in the classroom setting. Most children in this situation will require a va'ada, a committee hearing, in order to be entitled to extra services in the classroom. ECI can prepare you for this process and will be with you every step of the way.

THE FRUSTRATED PARENT

You may feel the relationship you have with your child's school is lacking in some way. Whether it's your child's behavior in the classroom or your communication with the teacher and staff, something is not clicking. ECI can conduct a full assessment to determine what areas are lacking, what in actuality are the needs of the child, and how these needs can be best addressed either in the current institution or at a more properly suited school for your child's needs.
