WHO WE ARE



ECI was developed by Keren Eliezar, LSW. After spending time  in the public sector as an educational liaison for Anglo families, Keren identified the need for a thorough school identification service that pairs Olim, new and experienced alike, with the best school for their children. In her work as a liaison, she fielded questions such as "Where do I send my 8th grader next?" "How can I find a school that will be sensitive to my child's needs?" "Do we have to send to a pnimia (boarding school)?" "What if we want to home school?" "Where can we get an evaluation?" "How do we pay for said evaluation?" Keren understood these families needed the guidance of a consultant.

ECI is intended to guide families in finding appropriate schools, vetting the schools, understanding the application process, and registering at the schools. Keren works with schools throughout Israel, including periphery locations in the North and South of the country. She can provide resources that will enrich your Oleh experience.

Keren holds a Masters in Clinical Social Work from New York University, a Masters in Health Advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College, and a Bachelors from the Lauder School of Government at Reichman University (formerly known as IDC).

As the child of Israelis living in the United States, Keren has spent her life traveling between the two countries. She has had the experience of parenting both in the US and in Israel. Her experiences have exposed her to the nuances of both cultures and their educational systems. She is excited to share this knowledge and expertise with her clients!
